LONDON,
July 19 - Two men convicted of raping a teenage
boy were hanged in public in the northeastern Iranian city
of Mashhad on Tuesday, drawing a crowd of hundreds of
cheering Iranians, witnesses said.
According to the Quds newspaper, the two had abducted a
13-year-old boy a year ago and raped him at knife-point.
The report added that both convicts, who
were not identified, were also given 228 lashes each for
drinking, disturbing the peace and theft.
So far this year, Iran has executed at
least 42 people, according to an AFP tally based on witness
and press reports.
In 2004 at least 159 people were executed
in the Islamic republic -- the highest rate in the world
after China -- according to Amnesty International.
Iran's capital offences include murder,
rape, armed robbery, apostasy, blasphemy, serious drug
trafficking, repeated sodomy, adultery or prostitution,
treason and espionage.

رژیم ضد بشری جمهوری اسلامی صبح امروز دو نوجوان را در مشهد در ملاعام بدار آویخت. اتهام آنها سرقت و اخلال در نظم عمومی عنوان شده است. عکس نخست این دو نوجوان را دقایقی پیش از اعدام در حالیکه گریه می کنند ، نشان می دهد. یکی از آنها گفت محيط زندگی ما نامناسب بود. خلاف کاری در آنجا رواج و گسترش داشت و اين امر باعث شد تا ما در اين وضعيت قرار بگيريم. عکس بعدی دژخیمان رژیم پلید آخوندی را نشان می دهد که در حال انداختن طناب دار به گردن این دو نوجوان هستند.

The bloodthirsty regime of the Islamic Republic,
yesterday (July 18, 2005) publicly executed two young
(Youth) men in the city of Mash'had. They were charged
with theft and inciting public disorder!
In the below photo, taken minutes before their
execution, the two innocent youths are seen sobbing in
fear. One of them lamented that their environment was
always unsuitable; corruption and deception was rampant
and this laid the grounds for our present situation.

ای جداگانه، اتحاديه اروپا خواهان آزادی فوری اکبر گنجی
روزنامه نگار شده است و او را کسی که فقط به دليل باورهای
خود زندانی شده است می نامد و نگرانی خود را از سلامت وی
که در جريان اعتصاب غذای طولانی به خطر افتاده، ابراز
داشته است.
